  Pershore Plum Festival

Testimonials

Picture
We are very proud of the Pershore Plum Festival, but what pleases us even more is when we hear other people say good things about it too. Take a look at the below to see the thoughts of locals and visitors alike.
  • Just been talking to my neighbour who thought the Plum Fayre was great, a great food fayre. She and her husband really enjoyed the gathering of local food producers in a wonderful setting unlike the food fairs held in tented villages on show grounds that lacked atmosphere. She also made mention of enjoying the  music performed about the town including the gospel singing in the Baptist Church and the Hari Krishna strollers.

  • She did overhear a family discussing the day, both the parents and children felt it was the best day out this year, and there must have been alot of families on reduced family budgets enjoying a day out rather than an expensive holiday.

  • I’d like to offer hearty congratulations to you and all the organizing committee for the Plum Festival on Monday. It really was an event to remember and probably the best yet! All the pieces of the jigsaw seemed to fit together beautifully.  The organization appeared effortlessly perfect – which I know will have meant a huge amount of hard work by many people .

  • Spreading the attractions across the town – from Abbey Park and the Bandstand, to St Andrew’s garden and Church Street, Broad Street, the Angel, Chapman Court and the riverside – meant people had something good to do and see everywhere they went in the town.

  • Getting onto live TV on the morning of the event was a masterstroke!    Please pass this onto the committee with my thanks.

  • FAB day Ange .. and my inlaws spent a fortune on shoes and fashion so Jolie and Tappers will be happy.  Congrats on a job superbly done .. next year I reckon you’ll challenge the Olympics !!

  • Well done to you and your team to bring something to Pershore that is well received by the local businesses and town folk.

  • Just an email to say “THANK YOU” to the plum fest members for another great day yesterday just wanted to echo what i’ve said before in saying it really is truly amazing how many people support it. I for one am truly proud to be a part of it.

  • I just wanted to congratulate you on a fantastic Bank Holiday atmosphere at the Plum Festival yesterday. For so many people to be teeming around Pershore and so clearly enjoying themselves is just brilliant for the town.. and for the county,  because there were certainly people there from outside Worcestershire.

  • Vale Harmony Barbershop Chorus were absolutely delighted to be part of it and, from a personal point of view, can I say how  pleasantly and professionally you handled our request to appear, given that it was at relatively short notice.

  • We felt it was a fantastic event that was really well promoted and generated a lot of visitors to the town – Well done!

  • Many thanks for all your help to promote our War Time display at the Plum Fayre. We had a brilliant day even though the weather wasn’t brilliant. There was a very positive response to our display from the crowds that visited us. We look forward to being involved again next year.
    Many thanks once again.

  • Just wanted to congratulate you on another great day at the plum fayre.. We were busy throughout the day with lots of positive feedback from all ages, with people saying how impressed they were with the organisation of the whole event.   Thank you for all your hard work and we look forward to next year.

  • Well done on a fantastic Plum Festival!!  despite the weather forecast it proved to be a great day. All of your hard work is much appreciated!

  • I should like to thank the whole Plum Festival team for the outstanding job they did at (and before) the Plum Fayre. The paucity of plums and indifferent weather seemed to make no difference to the number of visitors and there was plenty for them to see and do and buy.  Well done!

  • Well done with yesterday and congratulations to the team, fortunately the rain held off until the end. All those visitors I spoke to seemed to be enjoying themselves and were pleased at the range of events. The tv interviews seemed to help bring people in, I had a lot of hellos either walking around or from passing cars from those who had seen the interviews. In between transmissions I managed to erect a lot of gazebos!

  • I returned for lunch with Hilary and Catherine at Belle House and used the Park and Ride from the college, the drivers gave out Plum Fayre brochures and we found they were very helpful. It was the first time we had been to the Fayre as a family!

  • Well, we arrived just after 10am and when we drove past, Eddie Grundy was doing his spiel, with crowds looking on and there was a great brass band playing! Having parked, we then wandered around the square, the abbey, plum alley and the Angel – everywhere was rammed, wonderful buzz and a great atmosphere …..

  • Anyway, it seemed to be a huge success. We did the Pershore 5 Bridges Circular walk and came back in the afternoon when it still seemed as busy. So well done – great job and you should be justly proud of the fantastic event you have created.

  • Excellent festival this year.  I was part of the classic car display with my old Triumph.  Had a good look round the rest of it as well and all seemed extremely busy Congratulations – you must be delighted!

We hope you visit the festival soon!
