Plum Festival Gala Evening

Celebrate the start of this unique Plum Festival by attending a glittering Gala Evening where the 2011 Plum Princess will be crowned – a prestigious black tie event featuring outstanding music and dance. Pershore Plum Festival Launch

30th July
Plum Alley (Chapman Court)

Grand Festival opening. Join Prunella the Pershore Purple Plum and the Plum Princess to officially launch the month long 2011 celebration. Entertainment, heritage exhibitions and competitions will keep you occupied. Why not try out some of the Plum ‘goodies’ including Plum sausages, jams, soaps, sweets and much more!

Go Plum Crazy in Plum Alley!!!

Every Saturday Plum Alley (nr Asda) will be hosting various trade stands selling lots of different plum themed products.  Also local horticultural experts from the Vale Heritage Landscape Trust will be on hand with advice on all things plummy – including tastings and sales of plums.

Pershore Plum Festival Family Fun Race Day

5th August
Worcester Racecourse

Following the success of 2010, the Land O’Plums Chase returns! A race ran 112 years ago steeped in history. Plums, products and the colour purple are the focus of the day as well as children’s entertainment. To cap off a brilliant day the annual jump jockey football match will be contested in the centre of the course after the racing. Discounted coach transport available.

Plum Tours

11th, 18th & 25th August

To celebrate the fruit which made Pershore so famous and as part of the month long Plum Festival – don’t miss these exciting new guided coach tours. Plum Guides will accompany every tour and you can be sure they will produce the “plum goods” for your entertainment throughout the day. Picking up at various points throughout the County, booking is essential.

Pershore Plum Fayre Day and Farmers Market

27-29th August

Enjoy a “plum day” out for all the family at Pershore’s biggest event of the year when it celebrates the fruit for which it is internationally famous….

Attractions throughout the town include Plum Alley (plums, tastings, advice, plum products including sausages, soaps and jams) Classic and vintage cars, Farmers Market, boat trips, arts and crafts, street and children entertainment, Plum Splash and Play Zone, Abbey tower trips and concerts, trade & charity stalls, Retail Market, High Street shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants open.

Entertainment  including the Chipping Camden Morris Dancers, Pershore Brass, Wyred Up, Pershore Town Choir.

Park & Ride service available from Pershore High School and Pershore College.
