The 2011 Plum Princess and her assistants were crowned at a glittering Gala evening held at Number 8 Community Arts Centre last Friday. The first “duty” for Princess Olivia Holder aged 10 and her two assistants – Bethan Samuel also aged 10 and Sophia Meusz aged 7 was to welcome an Festival friends new and old; Henry Sandon from Antiques Roadshow fame and also Aled Jones who was filming in the town for the BBC Songs of Praise show that will be aired in September.
It was the most wonderful day said Festival Chair Angela Tidmarsh – bigger and better than ever before and with the launch of our new merchandise and all the plummy goods and products on sale the town was buzzing. We look forward now to all the rest of our Festival events – don’t miss them.
